The Papillon Dog has three coat colors, namely white-black, white-brown and white-tan. The Papillon Dog's body hair is mostly white, with black, brown or tan decorative hair growing on the ears, chest and tail. The most striking feature of the Papillon Dog is concentrated on its ears. The ears are upright, symmetrical, flat and stretched, very much like the wings of a butterfly. There is a tuft of white hair in the middle of the forehead, running towards the face, like a dancing butterfly.

The hair characteristics of Papillon Dog:

1. The appearance of the coat color is white as the base color.

2. There are black, brown or tan decorative hairs from the ears to the face, and there are markings on the body.

3. The tail coat is silky and elastic straight hair, and there are decorative hairs on the ears, chest and tail. The color of the decorative hairs is black, brown or tan.

4. Papillon dogs have very abundant hair, and the hair is relatively long. At first glance, it looks like silk, very elegant.
