It is naturally best for newborn kittens to drink breast milk. If conditions permit, you can let the cat drink until it is one month old. Because breast milk contains nutrients needed for kitten growth, it can improve the kitten's resistance. When the kitten grows older, you can start feeding canned and cat food to supplement the cat with necessary protein and sufficient water.

What foods should newborn cats not eat:

1. Kittens cannot eat adult cat food because their gastrointestinal tract is not fully developed yet. Digestive function is poor, and eating adult cat food is prone to diarrhea.

2. Kittens cannot eat human food such as milk, raw meat, fish, etc. Milk is not easy to digest and may lead to vomiting and diarrhea. Raw meat has the risk of parasites. Fish bones are dangerous to kittens.

3. Kittens should not eat food such as chicken bones and fish bones, which will scratch the gastrointestinal tract or cause gastrointestinal blockage.
