The IQ of a Maine Coon cat is equivalent to that of a 2 to 3-year-old human child. Among most cats, the IQ of the Maine Coon cat is relatively high. However, it varies from cat to cat. Some Maine Coon cats will be very smart, while others will not.

But Maine Coon cats often scratch twice where they have been, leaving a mess in the house. It will scratch the sofas, floors and wooden doors at home, leaving behind its smell. No matter how hard you teach it, it won't work.
