Food taboos for Burmese cats:

1. Burmese cats are carnivores. Meat and fish are high-phosphorus foods, rich in animal protein, but Eating these foods alone will cause calcium deficiency.

2. Do not feed Burmese cats irritating foods, such as pepper, mustard, spicy oil, etc.

3. Do not give onions to Burmese cats, because onions will destroy the red blood cells of Burmese cats and cause anemia. In severe cases, the Burmese cats may die.

4. Do not feed chicken bones to Burmese cats, because this type of food is not easy to digest and may hurt the gastrointestinal tract of Burmese cats.

5. Do not give milk to Burmese cats. Cats cannot digest the lactose in milk, so milk may cause an upset stomach or diarrhea. In addition to the mother's milk that kittens drink, it is still not recommended for cats to drink milk.

6. Don’t give grapes and raisins to Burmese cats. Even small amounts of grapes and raisins can make cats sick and may even cause acute kidney failure. Vomiting may occur within 12 hours of ingestion. Other symptoms may appear within 24 hours, including drowsiness, diarrhea, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, and decreased urine output.

7. Do not feed raw eggs or raw meat to Burmese cats. Just like humans, cats can become infected with salmonella or E. coli if they eat raw eggs or meat. Symptoms vary and may include vomiting, diarrhea and lethargy.
