Symptoms of melanoma in dogs:

1. Oral melanoma symptoms: Oral swelling is the most common symptom. Dogs may drool excessively, have facial swelling, lose weight, have bad breath, be in pain, be unable to eat, lose teeth, and more. These swollen lumps are not necessarily black and may be pink to white.

2. Symptoms of melanoma on toes: Swelling of toes is the first obvious symptom. Some dogs’ nails will fall off or become lame. Tumors are usually black.

3. Symptoms of cutaneous melanoma: The skin surface of the lesion area is irregular, often dark skin (but it may also be light), hair loss or even ulcers.

Treatment methods for dog melanoma:

1. Surgically remove the tumor and surrounding tissue. Sometimes the toes may be amputated, or the upper or lower limbs may be removed. Mandibular resection.

2. Chemotherapy.

3. Radiotherapy.

4. Melanoma vaccine: There is currently a new type of vaccine that can stimulate the dog's immune system, allowing the dog to produce antibodies against specific locations on melanoma cells, causing the destruction of cancer cells. Can be used in conjunction with surgery to achieve optimal results.
