The bite of a dog by a snake varies depending on the snake's venom. After being bitten by a snake, the bite area will swell rapidly, become hard, and bleed uncontrollably. Along with severe pain, the skin will turn purple-black, and skin necrosis and lymph node necrosis often occur. Swelling. After 6 to 8 hours, it spreads to the head, neck, limbs and lower back. The dog trembles, has elevated body temperature, rapid heartbeat, difficulty breathing, inability to stand, nose bleeding, blood in urine, convulsions and other symptoms.

How to deal with a dog bitten by a snake:

1. Keep the bitten dog quiet, and if the limbs are bitten, immediately use a tourniquet or soft Tie the rope 2~3cm above the wound to prevent the blood and lymph containing snake venom from flowing back. If necessary, relax it at regular intervals.

2. Wash the wound and expand it: After bandaging, you can wash the wound with water, soapy water, hydrogen peroxide or 0.1% potassium permanganate solution to wash away the remaining snake venom and dirt. Then use a clean or sterilized knife or three-edged needle to prick the skin between the two fang marks. You can also remove the tissue around the wound, then squeeze it to detoxify, and then use 3% hydrogen peroxide solution or 0.1% high manganese. Wash the wound with potassium acid solution. While expanding the wound, 0.5% procaine can also be used to partially seal the wound.

3. Detoxification: Polyvalent antivenom can be injected in the early stage.

4. High-dose glucocorticoids can be used to enhance the anti-shock effect of antivenom; at the same time, cardiotonic drugs such as caffeine or camphor should be used. If necessary, intravenously inject liquids such as compound sodium chloride, glucose or calcium gluconate.
