Why does a kitten shed tears and have mucus in its eyes?

Cats have two main reactions after eating catnip. One is that they are not sensitive to catnip, so everything is normal after eating catnip without any reaction. Another is that cats will become very excited, sneezing, chewing, rubbing their bodies, rolling, meowing and other excited behaviors. Although these behaviors have no impact on the health of cats, it is recommended that owners do not give catnip to cats frequently.
1. No response
Because not all cats will be sensitive to the taste of catnip, just like many cats like thread fur toys, but some cats are not interested at all. Therefore, if the cat is not interested in the smell of catnip, there will be no reaction.
2. Become very excited
Catnip contains a chemical called lactone, which can stimulate and excite cats. Therefore, if a cat is very sensitive to the taste of catnip, it will become excited and intoxicated after eating catnip, such as sneezing, hitting the ground, meowing, suddenly excited, and running around. Therefore, owners can occasionally feed their cats a small amount of catnip to help the cats adjust their mood.
Note: The owner should not feed too much catnip to the cat each time, otherwise it may cause the cat to have difficulty breathing. In addition, don’t feed catnip too frequently, just once or twice a week. Too often may make the cat lose interest in catnip, and then no longer respond to catnip.
