There are two main reasons for transparent blisters in cats’ eyes. First, if the transparent blisters appear on the conjunctiva, the main consideration is conjunctival edema. Secondly, if the transparent blister is located on the third eyelid, the main consideration is that it is an infectious follicle caused by bacterial infection, such as virus, mycoplasma, chlamydia, etc. It is recommended that the owner consult a pet doctor in time. In this case, the first step is to look at the area where the transparent blisters appear to determine the specific cause, and then treat it accordingly.

1. Conjunctival edema

If the clear blisters in the cat’s eyes appear on the conjunctiva, it may be caused by conjunctival edema. There are many causes of conjunctival edema in cats, such as foreign body stimulation, external force, conjunctivitis or nasal branch, etc., which can cause conjunctival edema. It is recommended that the owner take the cat to the pet hospital for examination in time and purchase medicines for the cat’s treatment.

If the cat cannot open its eyes due to conjunctival edema, surgery may be required to keep the cat's eyes open to prevent the cat from developing corneal ulcers or even blindness.

2. Infectious follicles caused by bacterial infection

If the transparent blisters in the cat’s eyes appear on the third eyelid, it may be caused by bacterial infection. Sexual follicles, such as mycoplasma, chlamydia and viruses. Mycoplasma infection mainly manifests as sneezing, runny nose, conjunctival congestion, conjunctivitis and other symptoms. Chlamydial infection mainly manifests as conjunctivitis, conjunctival edema, and serous or mucus secretions. Some cats will also have nasal discharge and symptoms of snoring and sneezing.

If it is determined that the cat has infective follicles caused by bacterial infection, it needs to go to a pet hospital for treatment as soon as possible to avoid damaging the health of the cat's eyes.
