If the cat’s eyes only shed a small amount of brown excrement, it is normal, but if it sheds too much brown excrement, it is abnormal. It may be caused by the influence of foreign bodies, improper diet, eye inflammation, etc. . At this time, you need to take the cat to the pet hospital for examination. First, analyze the cause of brown discharge from the cat's eyes, and then treat it symptomatically to avoid prolonging the condition.

1. Impact of foreign matter

If dust, pollen, hair and other foreign matter accidentally enter the cat's eyes, the foreign matter will continue to affect the eyes and cause the cat to shed tears continuously. In this regard, the owner can gently open the cat's eyes to check. If foreign objects are found, the cat's eyeballs can be flushed with saline or eyewash to flush out the foreign objects. If the foreign matter cannot be flushed out, it is recommended that the owner take the cat to the pet hospital for further treatment in time.

2. Improper diet

If the food your cat eats is too high in oil and salt, it will cause brown discharge in the eyes, and over time, it will form tear stains. If this is the case, the owner should adjust the cat's diet in time and pay attention to the light diet. It is best to replace the cat with ecological cat food with low oil and salt content. Never feed the cat human food. Help your cat sort out the excrement from its eyes.

 3. Eye inflammation

If in addition to brown discharge from the cat’s eyes, the cat also has symptoms such as red eyes and difficulty opening the eyes, then the cat’s eyes should be considered to be inflamed. At this time, you first need to use anti-inflammatory eye drops for treatment, then analyze the cause of the cat’s eye inflammation, and then take targeted treatment to eliminate the cause. If the eye is inflamed due to the impact of a foreign body, in addition to treating it with anti-inflammatory eye drops, you also need to use normal saline to flush out the foreign body. If the cat is infected with a pathogen and causes eye inflammation, it is recommended to take the cat to the pet hospital for examination and treatment immediately.
