What should I do if I get cat plague?

1. Timely injection of antiviral serum is the main means of treating cat plague;

2. When a cat continues to vomit, it should be fed special antiemetics for pets to avoid dehydration;

3. During the treatment process, in addition to the need for infusion to ensure the cat's energy and electrolyte balance and prevent acidosis, it is best to feed a mixture of 10% glucose injection and normal saline at intervals to replenish body moisture;

4. During the period of infection with feline plague, the cat’s living environment must be strictly cleaned and disinfected. If there are other pets in the home, they should be isolated. Cat utensils and tableware should be disinfected once a day;

5. Take an appropriate amount of probiotics to help regulate the gastrointestinal tract. A large number of antibiotics used in treatment can cause digestive system disorders; therefore, the diet should also be based on easily digestible liquid foods. Do not feed high-protein foods that cannot be digested.
