Causes of rabbit diarrhea:

1. Rabbits with diarrhea may have eaten too much water-rich food, such as vegetables, carrots, grapes, apples, etc. Rabbits have poor gastrointestinal function and feeding them too much watery food will cause diarrhea.

2. Rabbits with diarrhea may be infected by parasites, such as coccidia and trichomonas. Rabbits infected with such parasites will frequently have diarrhea.

3. If a rabbit has diarrhea, it may be due to indigestion. The rabbit’s gastrointestinal function is very poor. Feeding hard and cold food will increase the burden on the gastrointestinal tract and cause the rabbit to have diarrhea.

4. Rabbits will also have diarrhea when they have a cold or fever. When a rabbit has a cold or fever, the electrolytes in the body will be disordered and diarrhea will also occur.

5. If a rabbit gets an infectious disease, such as E. coli, salmonella, or Tyzer's disease, it will cause diarrhea in the rabbit.
