Especially in spring and summer, these two seasons are the seasons when ticks are rampant. You can prevent ticks through the following steps:

1. Keep the environment where your dog lives clean and tidy, and clean it regularly The environment around the dog and the items used are thoroughly disinfected. Keeping your home clean can also help eliminate ticks from your home.

2. Try not to take your dog to messy and humid places, or to play in deep grass or bushes, and do not let your dog come into contact with animals infected with ticks. After taking your dog for a walk, you should always check whether there are ticks under the dog's hair.

3. Regularly conduct external deworming for dogs, especially in summer. Dogs that often go out to play must be dewormed every month. Do not bathe the dog for 3 days before and after deworming, so as not to affect the effect of the drug. Proper use of anthelmintics can more effectively prevent your dog from being infected with parasites.

In terms of deworming, dogs can be given topical deworming drugs containing imidacloprid, permethrin or fepredronil. Imidacloprid, a neonicotinoid insecticide, can cause ectoparasites to become overly excited and eventually die. Permethrin can repel and prevent ectoparasites from attaching to dogs and sucking their blood.
