Newborn kittens have a blue-gray film on their eyes, so their eyes are blue-gray. As the kitten grows up, the blue film will gradually fade away, and by about three months, the eyes will show their original color, such as yellow, green, blue, yellow-green, etc.

The color of a cat’s eyes is determined by the reflection of light by the eyeball and the content of melanin in the iris. Cats with blue eyes have little or no melanin in their irises.

Although the color of the adult cat's iris is fixed, looking at the cat's eyeballs from different angles, or the intensity of the light is different, can also cause us to have a visual difference and feel that the color of the cat's eyes is different.
