The normal body temperature of cats is 38.5 to 39.5 degrees. The body temperature of young cats is higher than that of adult cats. The body temperature after exercise is higher than the body temperature at rest. Generally, the anus body temperature is measured, and the rectal body temperature is higher. It is intuitive and accurate. When measuring body temperature, use a mercury thermometer and insert it spirally into the anus, about one-third of the way in, and keep still for 30 seconds to one minute. The cat needs to be still and quiet.

Solutions to cats with excessive body temperature:

1. If the cat’s maximum body temperature does not exceed 0.5 degrees, it is recommended to adopt physical cooling methods, such as using alcohol cotton. Use the tablets to scrub the cat's foot pads, groin and other parts.

2. If the cat’s maximum body temperature exceeds 1 degree, it needs to be taken to the pet hospital for anti-fever injections in time. The medicine usually takes effect 4 to 6 hours after administration.
