Causes of scabs on the edges of rabbit ears:

1. Trauma. If the edge of the rabbit's ear rubs against a sharp object such as a cage and causes trauma, or if it is bitten in a fight with a companion, the wound will scab as it recovers.

2. Mites. If rabbit ears are infested with mites, the mites will cause the edges of the ears to ulcerate and form scabs.

3. Fungal infection. For example, Malassezia, Microsporum, etc. can cause scabs and hair loss on the skin around rabbit ears.

Solutions to scabs on the edges of rabbit ears:

1. Check whether there is obvious swelling or wounds on the rabbit’s ears, and treat them with alcohol or iodophor in time. Disinfect rabbits.

2. If the scabs on the edges of the ears are caused by mite infection, you can feed the rabbit some anthelmintics.

3. If the rabbit’s ears are scabbed due to fungal infection, you can give it topical fungal drugs. Also avoid frequent scratching by rabbits.
