If it is a wild budgie, its life span is relatively short, usually only 7 to 8 years.

If it is a budgerigar raised in captivity, its life span will be longer, about 7 to 10 years, because of the better growing environment.

Budgerigars are considered adults when they are 4 months old and can start breeding. Theoretically, adult female birds can breed once every three months, and the breeding period is 3-4 years, but each breeding will consume a lot of food. The physical strength of the mother bird, and the life span of a mother bird that breeds frequently will be shortened.

Factors affecting the life span of budgies:

1. Excessive breeding.

2. The parrot is infected after being injured for a long time.

3. Improper feeding may cause the parrot to die. If you want the parrot to stay with you for a long time, you need to feed it scientifically.
