The ant lion does not recognize its master. Antlions are a type of insect. Insects generally have low IQs and underdeveloped thinking, so it is difficult for antlions to recognize their owners and receive behavioral training. They are limited to not attacking their owners after becoming familiar with their scent.

Notes on raising ant lions:

1. Ant lions can be raised in groups or individually, but they are territorial and need their own sphere of influence. One per 30-40 square centimeters is better, and the breeding area should be covered with fine sand about 2.5 centimeters thick.

2. The 1st instar antlion is very small and needs to be fed small ants or termite larvae. It can be fed once every 1-2 days. Antlions can feed on rice moths and mung bean weevils.

3. Antlions stop eating and start to build cocoons when they are 3 years old. You can insert some twigs and bamboo sticks around the cocoons so that the successfully fledged adults can cling and spread their wings.

4. Adult antlions after emergence are nocturnal insects, so it is best to feed them before dusk. Before the adults lay eggs, some branches should be prepared for the ant lions to cling to.
