The reason why cats don’t stick out their tongues is that cats’ heat dissipation function mainly relies on the pads on their feet, unlike dogs that stick out their tongues to dissipate heat when they are hot. Cats’ sweat glands are underdeveloped, so they don’t sweat easily.

Performances of cats sometimes sticking out their tongues:

1. The cat sticks out its tongue a little to relax and lick its fur.

2. If tongue sticking out is caused by stomatitis or other reasons, you need to check whether there are any abnormalities in the cat’s mouth.

3. If the cat has symptoms such as oral redness and swelling, drooling, loss of appetite, etc., you need to take the cat to the pet hospital for examination.
