Methods for grooming Golden Retrievers:

1. Golden Retrievers are long-haired dogs. You must remember to take care of their hair. First, prepare a handful of special soft hair for the dog. Brush or comb. Regarding the brush, on the one hand, it should be easy for the owner to handle, and on the other hand, it should be suitable for the texture of the dog's hair and should not cause static electricity. Before brushing the dog's hair, the owner should stroke the golden retriever with his hands to soothe his mood and let him lie quietly on his lap or stand on the table, so that the owner can comb the hair.

2. When combing the hair of the golden retriever, the owner should comb it in the same way as the hair of the golden retriever. When encountering knotted hair balls, the owner should slowly comb it out from the tip of the hair to the root of the hair. If the hair ball is difficult to comb out, you can use scissors to cut it off to avoid injuring the dog by violent combing.

3. The owner should comb the golden retriever’s hair once a day, and the combing time should be 5 to 10 minutes each time. It can not only remove dirt from the dog's hair, but also prevent the hair from getting tangled.

4. When brushing, pay attention to cleaning the tangles of hair behind the ears. The hair behind the ears of a golden retriever is different from that on the body. The hair here is relatively soft. After being knotted, it will not only affect the appearance, but also cause a certain amount of pain. When doing beauty treatments, be sure to remember to clean them up.

5. It is recommended to bathe golden retrievers once a month. When bathing, the owner should prepare a suitable water temperature for the dog. Before bathing, the dog can test the water temperature with its paws. The dog will feel comfortable. Start taking a shower. When bathing, first wet the dog's body with clean water, then apply shower gel on it and wash it. When cleaning, do not pour water into the eyes and ears. After cleaning, apply smoothing oil on the dog. After cleaning the dog thoroughly, wipe the water drops from the body with a hair dryer. Blow dry. At this time, you can spray flea preparations on the dog to prevent fleas from breeding and multiplying on the dog.

6. After taking a bath, you need to trim the Golden Retriever’s nails, clean the secretions from the ears and eyes, and try to remove as much tartar from the teeth as possible. In this way, the dog's bad breath problem can be well alleviated. If you observe carefully, you will find that there may be hair on the golden retriever's foot pads, toes, and joints, which also need to be cleaned up, otherwise it will affect the overall aesthetic effect.
