Many netizens say that their French bulldogs are stupid. Take fixed-point toilet training as an example. They can’t teach it no matter how hard they teach it. It’s really frustrating. In fact, there are no dogs that can’t be taught, only incorrect methods. Today, the editor will share with you the whole process of training French bulldogs to urinate and urinate in designated places. Training dogs to urinate and urinate in fixed spots!

My free-range French bulldogs are all trained by me to go to the toilet in designated places. In fact, This training is not difficult. Now I would like to share my training experience with everyone!

1. First, decide where you want him to go to the toilet. First prepare a dog toilet for Fa Niu and lay out a diaper pad. It's about the same size as a toilet. Or just use diapers, the size 45X60 will do. At the beginning, you need to get some of its urine on it, not too much, just a little, and then put it in the place where you want it to go to the toilet in the future. For example, the corner of your house or the bathroom.

Prepare a slightly larger fence so that it can be enclosed (the size in the picture is the best, as people can be kept in this fence when they are not at home in the future). Leave appropriate space and place the dog toilet at one end of the pen. Place the dog diaper or toilet. The space should not be too large. Leave enough space so it can't wander around.

2. French Bulldogs usually feel the urge to urinate and defecate shortly after eating, and within 5 to 20 minutes after the meal. Therefore, every time the dog eats, he is put in this pen. Once he urinates and defecates in this place, he is immediately rewarded. I used Wangzi steamed buns, which have a rich milky flavor and don’t cause diarrhea. I gave them 1 to 2 pieces. While giving praise, touch its head with your hands. (This 2 is the key point! If repeated many times, the dog will form a conditioned reflex and know that it can be rewarded by the owner when it goes to the toilet in a fixed place, and the situation of indiscriminate peeing will be improved a lot.)

3. If it urinates or defecates on this diaper, don’t take it away because the urine has been absorbed. You can use it two or three times before throwing it away. Because it will leave its smell on it. He will gradually become familiar with this place and will go there to relieve himself next time.

If you poop, pick up the poop immediately. If the poop is not cleaned up in time, the puppy will sometimes step on the poop and play with it. But you need to leave a little bit of cake on top. Just leave it with a slight fecal smell. It also loves to be clean. If there is a lot of feces and urine on it. It won't go to this place again.

4. Do the steps 2 above a few times, and after eating, drive it into this enclosure. Note that the word "rush" is not "hug"! It won't go away by itself after you hold it. About 1 week. It will know where to urinate and defecate. If you open the enclosure door, it will take the initiative to finish its meal and run to the diaper area in the enclosure. As long as it urinates here, you immediately encourage it with a positive tone, give it some delicious food, touch its head and other praise actions.

If it gets used to it, it will run into the pen to urinate after meals. Then remove the fence and you're done. After a long time, wherever you put the diaper and the dog toilet, it will go to the diaper toilet and only urinate in the diaper toilet.

5. If you occasionally see it in other places for convenience, you should tell it sternly and clean it up on the spot: "You are not allowed to defecate here!" At the same time, spank its butt gently with your hands, or roll it into a roll with the kind of promotional paper printed and distributed by the supermarket (because this kind of paper is slightly hard, it is difficult to spank the dog when spanking it) The sound makes a snapping sound, and it does not hurt when hit), and it scares you while hitting. as a warning. Then wipe the place where you defecate and urinate to remove the odor. Otherwise, the puppy will smell the smell of its own feces and will urinate and defecate here.

6. French Dou is actually very smart. It only takes one or two weeks of patient training and repeated repetitions, and it can be learned in three or four weeks if it is slower. You must stick to it. In the future, except when going out, it will usually defecate in the prescribed place.

However, I would like to remind all dog owners: When your dog first arrives at home, he is very unfamiliar with the new environment and does not have much sense of security. It is best to adapt to your home environment for about a week before training, but even if Once you learn French Dou, there is no guarantee that you will not make mistakes 100%! Because puppies are still young, sometimes they have emotional problems~~or they can’t endure it well and don’t have a big way to fight well, so they pull it off at any time~~when they don’t have time.

Don’t be too angry at this time. When they grow up, everything will be OK. My French babies who have gone to a new home have been consciously guided to learn how to use the toilet and various behaviors since they were young. When the new owner follows my method and strengthens it for a few days, basically Shangdu has learned to use the toilet.

The editor would like to remind you at the end that during the training process of going to the toilet at a fixed point, if you find that it has peed before it has time to go to the fixed point, you should not reprimand it too harshly at this time, just stop in moderation; pay attention to still pass the Give it positive rewards to establish its correct behavior. Otherwise, some French bulldogs are timid and are more likely to urinate and defecate randomly if they are overly frightened. Finally, I wish you all success!
