How to comb Persian cats:

1. Use a sparse-tooth comb to remove dander and comb out tangled hair. Once the comb is able to comb through the hair smoothly, switch to a fine-tooth comb.

2. Use a wire brush to remove all fallen hair. Be especially careful when combing your buttocks, as you are likely to lose a lot of hair in this area.

3. Sprinkle some talcum powder or fuller's earth into the hair. This will make the coat fluffy, add fullness, and help separate the coat. The powder should be brushed off immediately.

4. Use a fine-toothed comb to comb upward to remove the fallen hair around the neck to form neck hair.

5. Use a toothbrush to gently brush the short hair on the cat’s face. Be careful not to get too close to the cat's eyes.

6. Finally, repeat the fourth step with a thin-tooth comb to separate the hair and help make the hair stand up. For show cats, use a grooming brush to make the tail fur fluffy and smooth.

Methods to get Persian cats used to combing:

1. At the beginning, you can use your fingers to simulate combing until the cat gets used to being touched.

2. Use a small brush to simulate grooming the cat. Because it feels like licking by the same kind, it will not be too disgusting.

3. Use an air cushion comb/willow comb to comb the cat's hair. Let the cat adapt first and then use a regular comb to comb the cat's hair.

4. In order for the cat to adapt to using delicious treats as rewards, grooming must be positively related.

5. You can place snacks on the comb to make the cat familiar with the comb and develop a good impression of it.
