Treatment methods for canine otitis externa:

1. Before treating acutely ill dogs, the external auditory canal should be blocked with absorbent cotton balls, and then Zhou Tong’s coat should be cut off and treated with physiological Rinse the external auditory canal with saline, 0.1% hydrochloric acid, or 3% hydrogen peroxide.

As the disease progresses, local swelling intensifies, or pustules appear, and brown-black, foul-smelling purulent secretions flow out, often causing swelling at the base of the ears. The coat falls off or dermatitis occurs, and the sick dog's hearing decreases.

3. When it becomes chronic, it will get better and worse sometimes. Repeated attacks can cause tissue thickening in the ear canal and even tumors, leading to thickening of the auricle skin, auricle deformation and hearing impairment.
