The domesticated axolotl does not recognize its owner. The axolotl is a cold-blooded animal with low intelligence and is not capable of recognizing its owner. Moreover, their brains are very underdeveloped. No matter how long they are kept, they will not recognize their owners like dogs and cats. Even if they can form reflexes and interact with their owners to a certain extent through training, they will not establish feelings with their owners.

How to raise an axolotl

1. The axolotl is a relatively large pet, so a large glass fish tank should be prepared for it. Allow the axolotl to have enough space to move around and make it convenient for the family to watch.

2. Build a good ecological environment for the axolotl. First, lay a layer of clean gravel at the bottom of the fish tank and pour 30 cm of well water into it. Then put in a small amount of hornweed or aquatic plants. The sand and gravel can absorb the feces and dirt excreted by the salamanders, and the aquatic plants can carry out photosynthesis and increase the amount of dissolved oxygen in the water.

3. The best water quality for raising axolotls is clean pool water. Of course, you can choose well water or tap water, but well water and tap water need to be exposed to the sun for 3-5 days to remove the chlorine contained in the water before you can raise axolotls.
