The Chinese broadsword mantis does not recognize its owner. Praying mantises are carnivorous insects, ferocious and warlike by nature, and only have survival instincts. Praying mantises will eat members of their own species when food is scarce, and will eat their partners after mating. Although the mantis will not attack people randomly, it may bite or scratch people after touching it. The mantis has no consciousness of recognizing its master.

The correct way to raise the Chinese broadsword mantis:

1. Prepare the container. When raising a mantis, you can prepare a glass container and place it in a ventilated place to ensure air flow. In addition, the container needs to place branches or tree trunks to allow the mantis to climb the tree and simulate the environment, which will help the mantis grow.

2. Feeding. Praying mantises mainly feed on other insects, and breeders can prepare some insects such as fruit flies. It is not advisable to eat watermelon worms as their high fat content may cause the mantis to gain weight.

3. Variety selection. If the breeder has no experience in raising praying mantises, it is recommended that the breeder choose varieties that are easy to raise, such as eye-spotted mantis, broadsword mantis, orchid mantis, brown-spotted mantis, etc., which are relatively simple to raise.

4. Do not breed them together. Never keep two mantises in a cage to prevent them from fighting and eating each other. Even if two male praying mantises mate, they cannot be kept together because the female will eat the male.
