The painted turtle has a lifespan of 40 years. The body constitution, living environment, food, and diseases of painted turtles will all affect their lifespan. The resistance and immunity of painted turtles in their childhood are relatively poor. If they are not raised properly, their lifespan will be shortened a lot. After the spotted turtle reaches adulthood, its resistance increases, but if it gets sick frequently, its lifespan will be shortened.

How to delay the life span of spotted turtles:

1. Temperature. The spotted turtle is adapted to temperatures of 20~30℃. When raising, electric heating tubes can be used to control the temperature to ensure its living environment.

2. Food. Painted turtles are omnivorous turtles. They prefer meat food. When feeding, they should be fed some plant feed to ensure their nutritional balance.

3. Water quality. Painted turtles need to live in relatively clean water, and the water needs to be changed frequently when raising them to ensure clean water quality.

4. Lighting. Painted turtles like to bask on their backs and can adapt to relatively strong light intensity. When raising them, make sure there is enough light.
