1. Carry out training as early as possible to avoid forming the habit of biting when they grow up. When a guinea pig bites someone, you can flick its teeth, head or nose. The force does not need to be too strong. It only needs to make it feel uncomfortable. After too many times, it will not dare to bite people again.

2. If the guinea pig is afraid of its owner, do not tease it anymore. Get along well with it first and cultivate feelings, and then try to touch, hold and tease it. Avoid biting out of stress.

3. Properly educate guinea pigs. Without education, they will form a habit and bite them every time. When bitten by a guinea pig, you need to clean up the blood, then rinse and disinfect the wound with soapy water and iodophor.

4. If the bite is serious, such as a deep and narrow wound or a penetrating wound, you need to go to the hospital and ask a doctor to determine whether you need to inject tetanus antitoxin or tetanus immune globulin.

5. Get vaccinated. If the local Center for Disease Control and Prevention has a hemorrhagic fever vaccine, it is best to get vaccinated. Although domestic guinea pigs are less likely to carry hantavirus, it is better to be vaccinated in time as a precaution. However, hemorrhagic fever may also occur after vaccination. Therefore, within the next two weeks, you should pay attention to observe whether the injured person has symptoms such as high fever, skin flushing, conjunctival congestion, etc. If they occur, they should go to the hospital in time.

1. Help with teeth grinding. Make sure there is something in the cage specifically for them to grind their teeth, a wooden tunnel is best.
