Hibernation of European tortoise hatchlings is risky. The hibernation temperature of adult turtles should be kept at 0-10°C. Use a storage box filled with soaked coconut palm or sphagnum moss, put it in, and they will hibernate.

Precautions for raising European tortoises:

2. European tortoises need to live in a dry environment. The best water tank substrate is sandy soil, and the adaptable temperature is about 25 to 30 degrees. When the temperature in the wild is too low or too high, European tortoises , they will dig caves to hide and sleep.

3. European tortoises are not easy to survive in artificial breeding environments and are very difficult to raise.

4. European tortoise food requires high calcium and phosphorus, high fiber and low protein. European tortoises need a lot of calcium to grow their shells and bones. Their digestive tracts are very long and require high fiber content to promote gastrointestinal motility and improve digestive function.
